From June 25 to 27 2009 the 4th International Conference on Communities and Technologies took place at the Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA, USA (see http://cct2009.ist.psu.edu/).
The Communities and Technologies biennial international conference serves as a forum for stimulating and disseminating research on the complex connections between communities – both physical and virtual – and information and communication technologies. The C&T conference addresses researchers studying aspects of this interaction between communities and technologies, regardless of disciplinary background.
A main objective of INSEMTIVES is to support user communities to contribute to user-generated semantic content. In this respect the C&T conference series seems to be a valuable source of community-related research.
The proceedings of this conference are online now, available on the Website of the International Institute for Socio-Informatics (IISI):
On the IISI website you can find the proceedings of the three former C&T conferences as well.
